In the Gross to Net Historical module, there is a report available called the Monthly Chargeback Rate Report. This report can be found within the Gross to Net tab under the Reporting menu.
To run this report, the user must first select the applicable accrual period to view the rates for. The accrual period filter must be entered in YYYY MM format.
There are also filters available for customer (vendor) and product if the user wishes to narrow down the results of the report further.
Once you have selected the applicable filters, click on GO to run the report.
The results will list out the chargeback accrual rates calculated for the accrual month selected by wholesaler and product.
In this main summary screen the following fields are available:
- WAC Price: The WAC or invoice price for this wholesaler effective on the last day of the accrual period chosen.
- Units Sold Through: This value represents the total indirect sales units for this wholesaler and product based on the product lookback chosen. For more information on the product lookbacks, click HERE.
- Weighted Average Price: the sum of the weighted average contract prices for the indirect contract included in the product lookback data.
- Weighted Average Chargeback Rate: (WAC Price - Weighted Average Price) / WAC Price
To view the further details of how these rates were calculated, click on the Details hyperlink next to the record, this will bring you into the contract details drill down screen.
In this screen, we display the details used in calculating the Weighted Average Chargeback Rate at the indirect contract level.
In this drill down screen the following fields are available:
- Contract Price: Indirect contract price effective on last day of accrual period chosen.
- Units Sold Thru: This value represents the contract specific indirect sales units for this wholesaler and product based on the product lookback chosen.
- Weighting of Units: Contract Specific Units Sold Thru / Total Units Sold Thru
- Weighted Average Price: Contract Price * Weighting of Units
