Things to check for sending EDI 849
In Contract Core->Customer Maintenance->Change, the Vendor type customer with the Level of Parent must have the EDI 849 check box check marked. Hit Save after making changes.
The Vendor Parent customer must also have the Vendor Child on the Debit Memo check marked on the 3. Relationship tab in Customer Maintenance->Change
After the customer setup is completed, any Debit Memos that are reconciled will generate an EDI849 record. To download the interface manually, the user will require the role 'EDI_849_INTERFACE.' Once the user has this role, the user can navigate to Contract Core->Interfaces->Download EDI 849 to download the RECON.txt file
iContracts only provides partially or fully denied line details back in the 849. Fully paid lines are summarized
iContracts will not send reversal lines for a resubmission in the 849. If a resubmission is performed in the iContracts system, we will send what is being paid in field 27 along with the cumulative total debit memo paid amount in field 36.
If a Debit Memo is unposted, iContracts will not send an 849.
There is a setting in Contract Core > Admin > Application settings "Send 849 After ERP CM Assigned". If this is checked, you must update the credit memo number using the CREDITMEMO interface in order for the 849 to be sent.
The EDI 849 format can be found in our latest interface document - attached to this article.
