What is the 'Needs Assessment' process and where do we apply it?

Answer -

"Needs Assessment" is the name for the process, and the module, where we document the business necessity and legitimacy of specific, planned activities.

The Needs Assessment process is managed in the 'NEEDS ASSESSMENT' module.

It is important to assess the need for the expense as it is part of both proactive business management, as well as meeting regulatory expectations regarding compliance.

One Needs Assessment should cover multiple individual activities.  You want to avoid 1 Need to 1 Event: this is inefficient. 

When estimating the spend amounts in a Need, it is acceptable to estimate on high side, within reason. 

If a need “runs out” of money, you will then to either open another need, or modify an existing one. 

It is more efficient to have a higher starting-point estimate.
