Research Spend: Adding Clinical Research Spends

Question -

How do I add a non-covered recipient with a covered PI?

AND

How do I apply spend to multiple CR's when creating Clinical Research Spends?

Answer -

The Covered Recipients section in MediSpend allows you to add any individual or institution to your customer master.  This includes both covered and non-covered recipients, by CMS' standards.

1. Enter the data the same regardless of the CR's credentials.
2. Once the profile is added,  then add the CR as a Participant or Principal Investigator to the study. This can be done on the spend record itself, or if you are using a clinical trials module - directly on the study entry itself. 

 MediSpend's algorithm will determine if the spend is reportable based on the data entered.
